Job summary

Morgan Ryder in Winsford is seeking a multiskilled engineer to maintain and improve production machinery and site equipment. You will work within an established engineering team, carrying out preventive maintenance, breakdown support and continuous improvement across the site and its machinery.

The role involves driving maintenance excellence, supporting projects, ensuring safe operation, recording documentation, and collaborating with production teams.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or ONC-qualified engineers required.
• Experience with planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdown support.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Proactive mindset for improvements and efficiency gains.
• Strong communication across all business levels.
• Flexible, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Drive Maintenance Excellence: complete planned preventive maintenance to maximise reliability.
• Support Site Improvements: assist with machinery installations, upgrades and projects.
• Promote Safe Working: ensure machinery operates safely and complies with standards.
• Collaborate Across Teams: work with production, stores and contractors.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain Accurate Records: complete maintenance docs and report issues.
• Good Housekeeping: assist with site tasks during downtime.
