Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates is recruiting a Multiskilled Engineer in Winsford to maintain and improve a diverse range of production machinery and site equipment.

You will join an established engineering team, performing preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement activities across the site, with a Monday-Friday double‑days shift and opportunities for overtime and enhanced benefits.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or ONC qualified or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support in manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding skills to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Proactive mindset for identifying and implementing improvements.
• Good communication skills across all levels of the business.
• Team player with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Drive maintenance excellence with planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
• Support site improvements through machinery installations, upgrades and projects.
• Promote safe working practices in line with legislation and standards.
• Collaborate with production teams, stores and contractors to support performance.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report ongoing issues.
• Assist with site housekeeping and occasional downtime tasks.

Are you a Multiskilled Engineer looking for a stress free maintenance position?

Join a leading manufacturing business in Winsford where you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving a diverse range of production machinery and site equipment. Working as part of an established engineering team, you'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement activities across the site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Drive Maintenance Excellence: Complete planned preventative maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
• Support Site Improvements: Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and engineering projects across the site.
• Promote Safe Working: Ensure all machinery and equipment operates safely and complies with current legislation and company standards.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with production teams, engineering stores and contractors to support operational performance.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and manufacturing performance.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Complete maintenance documentation and report ongoing engineering issues in line with company procedures.
• Good Housekeeping: Assist with site maintenance tasks during downtime.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Engineer: Apprentice trained, ONC qualified or holding an equivalent Engineering qualification.
• Maintenance Experience: Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Fault-Finding Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical engineering issues.
• Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
• Strong Communication Skills: Able to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
• Team Player: Positive, flexible attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
