Brief
Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)needed for a large, well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Burnley who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of diagnosing, fault-finding, commissioning systems, monitoring and assessing ongoing machine/facility performance.
The successful candidate would have these relevant qualifications - i.e. NVQ Level 3 in relevant field, 18th Edition, City & Guilds 2391 etc. - and have a keen interest in Electrical Engineering. If you have commercial experience in a hospital setting that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
- Diagnose, fault-find, commission systems, monitor and assess ongoing machine/facility performance, through Planned Preventive Maintenance programme, identifying any additional work required.
- Help ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge of H&S and environmental regulations and helping us to achieve our H&S target.
- Assist in installing, commissioning, and servicing plant, equipment and industrial furniture.
- Carry out and assist in planned/reactive maintenance to onsite systems.
- Flexible working hours required, which may include shifts and overtime working by arrangement.
- provide guidance to others on site, showing technical expertise, particularly in electrical systems, to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
What experience you need to be the successful Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
- Experience in Facilities management and general electrical maintenance.
- Recognised Electrical apprenticeship and or qualifications - NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2392 - Inspection & Testing or equivalent. (Desirable)
- City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring regulations.Candidate must be able to maintain, service and repair a wide range of building services, some listed below:
- Working with Lighting and Small Power.
- Low voltage electrical distribution system and switchgear,
- Emergency standby generators,
- Fire alarm systems,
- General and Emergency lighting.
- Building Management Systems,
- Ventilation and A/C systems
- LTHW heating boilers and pumps
- Domestic H&C water systems
- Basic computer literate.
- Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety
- Experience of working within a Healthcare environment preferred but not essential.
