Job summary

EGGER UK in Auchinleck is seeking a motivated Relief Production Operator to support the Drying and Pressing departments. You will complete a structured training programme and gain competency across key production areas, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

We welcome applicants from manufacturing backgrounds or those with transferable operational skills, who are safety-focused, eager to learn, and able to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights) on a 4-on/4-off pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic IT skills with MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and adapt across areas.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts (4 on/4 off), days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Complete a structured training programme across Drying and Pressing areas.
• Learn production processes, equipment, and standards.
• Carry out routine inspections and report issues.
• Provide cover for key production roles during absences.
• Assist during plant maintenance shutdowns and improvement activities.
• Work with colleagues to maximise efficiency, quality, and performance.
• Maintain housekeeping and workplace organisation.
• Complete shift reports and handovers.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Report hazards and incidents promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and teamwork.
