Job summary

EGGER UK is seeking a Production Operator to join the Lamination team at the Barony plant. The role offers comprehensive training across all areas of the department and a clear path to develop a wide range of production skills.

The successful candidate will work a double day shift, 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, Monday to Friday, with a competitive hourly rate and annual salary. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook are expected.
• Willingness to learn and undertake training across multiple operational areas.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are essential for a hands-on production role.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive training across department areas including board and paper preparation, quality inspections and forklift operations.
• Complete shift reports detailing production performance and downtime.
• Work with Shift Supervisors and Engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and maintain production efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work areas and equipment.
• Support holiday, sickness, training and maintenance coverage to maximise productivity.
• Attend training at other EGGER UK locations when required.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
• Adhere to company quality standards and operating procedures.

Are you looking for a hands-on role within a world-leading manufacturer? At EGGER, we are seeking a motivated Production Operator to join our Lamination team at our Barony plant. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of production skills within a supportive team environment, with comprehensive training provided across all areas of the department.

£15.01 per hour (£31,228 per annum) - This role is working a double day shift, rotating weekly 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00hrs, Monday to Friday).

What You'll Be Doing

As a Production Operator within our Lamination Department, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are achieved. Your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking comprehensive training across all areas of the department, including board and paper preparation, quality inspections, banding activities, forklift truck operations,
• Completing shift reports detailing production performance, downtime and operational data.
• Working closely with Shift Supervisors and Engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and maintain efficient production.
• Maintaining work areas, equipment and machinery to a high standard of housekeeping.
• Supporting holiday, sickness, training and maintenance cover as required to maximise production efficiency.
• Attending training courses at other EGGER UK locations when required.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and promoting a safe working environment at all times.
• Adhering to company quality standards and operating procedures.
