Job summary

UKME is seeking a reliable Stores Assistant to support the smooth operation of a high-end property portfolio across Surrey, London and surrounding areas. You will handle deliveries, stock, and transport of furniture and materials, ensuring accuracy and safety.

You will need previous stores/warehouse or logistics experience, IT skills (Word/Excel), a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar stores, warehouse, or logistics role.
• Experience in handling, building, or dismantling furniture.
• Manual handling training (desirable)
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A full, clean UK driving licence
• Knowledge of routes across Surrey, London, and surrounding areas (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and sign for deliveries against dispatch notes
• Load and unload vehicles with furniture, materials, and equipment
• Ensure all items are protected during transit and storage
• Deliver furniture and building materials across multiple properties
• Build and dismantle furniture as required
• Maintain accurate stock lists and support inventory management
• Keep the vehicle clean, organised, and regularly checked
• Complete and submit all relevant paperwork daily
• Provide cover for colleagues when required
• Follow all company policies, with a strong focus on health and safety
• Participate in shift patterns and on‑call rota when required
• Carry out any additional duties within the scope of the role
