Job summary

SYNLAB UK & Ireland is seeking a Supplies Assistant to support our medical laboratories across Basildon, Southend, and the Pathology First HUB. You will raise purchase orders, receive deliveries, label items, and manage stock in the inventory system, helping ensure accuracy and timely replenishment.

Based off-site in Basildon with standard shifts 8am-4pm and part-time pro rata pay, you’ll handle manual handling tasks, waste disposal, and helping with sterilisation processes in line with lab

Qualifications

• Experience with stock and orders management.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and labeling.
• Ability to handle manual handling and warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries from couriers and allocate to laboratories.
• Record stock into the inventory system and print labels.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders when needed.
• Assist with stock replenishment across multiple locations.
• Support waste handling and sterilisation processes.
• Perform routine housekeeping and other duties as needed.
