Job summary

Altos Labs in Cambridge, UK is seeking a Research Associate I or II to join the IoT Multiomics Innovation Hub for a 12-month contract. You will operate a state-of-the-art genomics facility focusing on Illumina and Nanopore sequencing, bulk RNA/DNA library prep, and single-cell workflows.

Ideal candidates have hands-on genomics lab experience, know library prep and sequencing tech, and can design experiments while collaborating across a small team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a genomics laboratory and core facility operations.
• Knowledge of library prep methods and sequencing technologies (Illumina/Nanopore).
• Ability to design experiments and provide technical guidance within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Operate state-of-the-art multiomics facility focusing on genomics workflows.
• Provide technical assistance on sequencers, automation, and common molecular biology techniques.
• Maintain hub instrumentation and assist in experimental design and data management.
• Write SOPs and risk assessments, and contribute to dissemination of results.
