Job summary

Imperial College London invites applications for a Bioinformatics Research Associate to lead integration and analysis of large multi-omics datasets, advancing innate immunity insights and AI-driven therapeutic discovery within the M2M programme.

You will develop reproducible pipelines (Nextflow/Snakemake), work with HPC/cloud, and collaborate across Imperial, UCL, industry partners and international collaborators, presenting findings and contributing to publications.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, statistics or closely related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, Bash and/or Perl; Unix/Linux experience.
• Experience analysing genomics and multi-omics datasets (scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, bulk RNA-seq, proteomics).
• Experience developing reproducible computational workflows using Nextflow or Snakemake.

Responsibilities

• Lead harmonisation, integration and analysis of large-scale multi-omics datasets (single-cell and bulk).
• Develop, maintain and document robust computational pipelines for processing and QC of sequencing and proteomics data.
• Identify innate immune correlates of protection across clinical and lab-derived datasets.
• Collaborate with AI and modelling teams to integrate outputs into predictive models.
• Present findings to collaborators and at conferences, contribute to publications and grant applications.
• Support FAIR data principles and open science across the programme.
