Job summary

Forth Ports is seeking a Warehouse Operative at Port of Tilbury, London. The role covers unloading, storing, picking and loading palletised goods 24/7, with a focus on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will work a 4 on/4 off rotation (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) handling palletised products, ensuring stock integrity and adherence to procedures, while maintaining high safety standards and clear communication with the team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year Fork Lift truck experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role (VNA retail warehouse distribution centre).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Maintain exceptional health and safety standards.
• Full Driving Licence, valid in the UK.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Unloading, storing, picking and loading palletised soft drinks 24/7 for retail warehouse distribution centres
• Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Manager or Supervisors
• Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
• Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
• Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules
• Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner
