Job summary

Forth Ports is seeking a Warehouse Operative at Port of Tilbury, London. The role covers unloading, storing, picking and loading palletised goods 24/7, with a focus on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will work a 4 on/4 off rotation (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) handling palletised products, ensuring stock integrity and adherence to procedures, while maintaining high safety standards and clear communication with the team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year Fork Lift truck experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role (VNA retail warehouse distribution centre).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Maintain exceptional health and safety standards.
• Full Driving Licence, valid in the UK.
• Full right to work in the UK.

• Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner

About The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse operation. Responsible for a full range of warehousing duties, you will support the end-to-end handling of palletised products, from unloading inbound deliveries through to storage, order picking, and loading outbound vehicles. Working as part of a fast-paced team, you will ensure all stock is handled safely, accurately, and in line with company procedures. This role requires a strong focus on health and safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet operational deadlines and customer requirements.
