Job summary

King's Academy Lord Wilson is seeking a proactive Multi-Disciplinary Technician to support Food Technology, Science and Art departments. You will manage high-risk practical environments with strict safety controls, oversee stock and sharps management, and adapt risk assessments for SEMH learners in partnership with SLT and subject leads.

The role offers fully funded CLEAPSS technician training and opportunities to develop technical expertise across three practical subject areas.

Qualifications

Strong focus on stock control and audit processes across multiple departments (Food Tech, Science and Art).
Ability to adapt risk assessments for SEMH learners in collaboration with SLT and department leads.
Commitment to CLEAPSS guidelines and ongoing technician training funded by the school.

Responsibilities

Review and adapt department risk assessments to meet SEMH safety needs.
Maintain equipment inventories and secure storage, including sharps and hazardous materials.
Procure and manage ingredients and materials for practical lessons within budget.
Prepare and set up equipment for Science, Art and Food Tech practicals; ensure hygiene and safety standards.
Provide classroom support during practical sessions and assist teachers with behavioural management.
