Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a Team Manager to lead a social work team and drive high-quality practice across services for children, young people and families in Birmingham. You will oversee staffing, safeguarding, and service delivery, ensuring compliance with SWE standards and effective collaboration with partners.

You will work in a hybrid model with substantial input to ensure consistent leadership and improvements across multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to trusted outcomes

Qualifications

• DipSW or equivalent Social Work qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
• Experience as a professional social worker with solid practice background.
• Proven track record of managing change and service improvement.
• Experience supervising students or social workers; creating a positive performance culture.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, external agencies, children and families.

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of social workers delivering professional services that meet legislative requirements and SWE Code of Practice for Social Care Workers.
• Provide operational leadership, vision and direction by delivering service improvement within a social care service or fostering and adoption service.
