Job summary

Cure Talent Limited is partnering with an established engineering manufacturer to appoint an Engineering Manager to lead its multidisciplinary engineering function onsite in Staplehurst, Kent. The role covers Mechanical, Electronics, Software Engineering and Physics teams, providing technical direction and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant experience at Engineering Manager level or equivalent.
• Proven people-management experience: recruitment, performance reviews and coaching.
• Strong product development and engineering lifecycle experience from concept to manufacture.
• Experience across defence, aerospace, scientific instrumentation, medical devices or electronics.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary Mechanical, Electronics, Software Engineering and Physics teams, including recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews.
• Oversee engineering delivery from concept through qualification, manufacture and installation, ensuring quality, cost and schedule targets.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical decisions and risk mitigation across disciplines to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
• Improve engineering processes, documentation, configuration control and governance to drive reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and other functions on roadmaps, cost reduction and transition of products to production.

Education

Mechanical/Electronic/Physics degree
