Job summary

Approach Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative for a secure-site maintenance contract in Worcestershire. The role covers general building and maintenance tasks on a demanding site, requiring reliability, independence and the ability to work to instructions and security procedures.

The ideal candidate will have multi-trade experience (carpentry, building, painting/decorating), good health and safety awareness, and DBS/CTC clearance or eligibility.

Multi Trade Operative

Employment: Contract / Temporary

Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out general building and maintenance works
• Carpentry and joinery repairs
• Minor building and remedial works
• Painting and decorating
• Repairs and general upkeep across the site
• Working from instructions, drawings and maintenance schedules where required
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, health and safety
• Working professionally and respectfully within a secure environment
• Supporting other trades and maintenance teams as required

Requirements

• Previous experience working within the construction or building maintenance sector
• Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative, Maintenance Operative, Carpenter, Builder or similar
• Competent across multiple trades, ideally including carpentry, building and painting/decorating
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently
• Previous experience working on commercial, public-sector or secure-site projects would be advantageous
• Enhanced DBS clearance required
• CTC clearance required or the ability to obtain the necessary clearance
• Candidates must be able to provide relevant work history and identification required for security clearance

This is a secure-site maintenance project offering ongoing work for the right candidate. Due to the nature of the environment, security clearance and strict site procedures will apply.
