Job summary

Cardo Group in England is seeking a mobile operative/engineer to respond to and complete repairs across domestic properties. You will carry out maintenance, responsive repairs, void works and use your trade skills to diagnose faults on first visit where possible.

The role requires a driving licence and a flexible approach, including possible out‑of‑hours rota work, with a strong focus on resident satisfaction. Social housing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing and responsive repairs.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Maintenance: 2 years’ experience preferred.

Future plans will see this develop into a national footprint.The post holder will be a mobile operative and engineer that is responsible for responding to, and completing repairs as directed. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, responsive repairs, void works and other similar activities within domestic and other properties. You will utilse all aspects of your specialist trade and secondary/multi trades as well as your excellent analytical skills in diagnosing faults and implementing remedies on the first visit to the property as much as possible.You will ensure that maintenance works are completed safely to SHE requirements, delivered efficiently and to a professionally high standard; working flexibly, alone or within a team and completing works within required timescales and deadlines.You will also contribute to the ongoing development and skills through supporting trainees, apprentices and other professional development.The post holder will also, as required, provide an out of hours service provision on a rota or other basis.Utilising mobile technology (PDA), the post holder as well as having robust time management, an eye for detail, and the ability to provide excellent and empathetic customer focused services to a broad range of customers and residents, they will be able to develop relationships with colleagues, have agility, multitask and to genuinely care about contributing to positive outcomes.
