Job summary

Approach Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative with a strong carpentry background to join a busy Midlands team. You will work across multiple projects, mainly on-site, handling carpentry tasks and related trades.

Immediate start, temporary contract with the opportunity to move to permanent employment for the right candidate. Candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team, manage their own tasks, and deliver high-quality workmanship.

• Full UK driving licence and own transport are essential due to project locations.

Multi-Trade Operative - Carpentry Focus

Location: Midlands - within approximately 1 hour of Romsley, Halesowen

Pay: Dependent on experience - £20-24ph

Contract: Temporary initially, with potential for permanent employment

Start: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative with a strong Carpentry background to join a busy team working across multiple projects throughout the Midlands.

This is a varied role where no two days are necessarily the same. You will mainly work as part of a team, but will also be expected to work independently, manage your own tasks and deliver work to a high standard.

The Role

• External cladding
• Fascia & soffits
• Flat roof and joist construction
• 2nd fix carpentry
• Minor repair works, including patching and painting
• Remedial works, customer care and snagging
• Site hoarding and gate installation
• Signage installation
• General cleaning and labouring

• Experienced across multiple trades, with a strong carpentry focus
• Reliable, hardworking and committed
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

• Confident dealing with customers when required
• Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks
• Able to travel between different projects as required

A full UK driving licence and own transport are essential due to the location of the projects.

Candidates with their own tools would be preferred.

The role will initially be offered on a temporary contract, with the opportunity to move into permanent employment for the right person.

The package will be dependent on experience, with opportunities for future training and development available.
