Job summary

Abri's Empty Homes team is looking for three skilled Multi-Trade Operatives to prepare vacant properties for new customers and help communities thrive. You’ll work across Petersfield and the surrounding areas, reporting into the Eastleigh office, carrying out a variety of repair, maintenance and refurbishment works to bring homes back up to standard.

This hands-on role covers carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance to ensure homes meet re-let standards and minimise void time.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out repairs and refurbishment in vacant properties.
• Skilled in carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance.
• Able to identify additional repairs and deliver quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, maintenance and refurbishment within vacant properties.
• Complete carpentry, plumbing and multi-trade tasks to re-let standard.
• Identify additional repairs and resolve issues before occupation.
• Work internally and externally in communal areas, fencing and grounds maintenance.
• Manage workload to complete works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and supervisors to reduce void turnaround times.
• Deliver quality homes that new customers can move into with confidence.

About the role

As part of our Empty Homes team, you'll work across Petersfield and the surrounding areas, reporting into the Eastleigh office, carrying out a variety of repair, maintenance and refurbishment works to prepare homes for re-let.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll use your multi-trade skills to bring properties back up to standard, ensuring they're ready for new customers to move in and make them home.

From carpentry and plumbing to general maintenance and finishing works, you'll take ownership of your properties, delivering quality workmanship and helping us minimise the time homes stand empty.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out a wide range of repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works within vacant properties
• Completing carpentry, plumbing and general multi-trade tasks to bring homes up to our re-let standard
• Identifying additional repairs and proactively resolving issues to ensure properties are ready for occupation
• Working both internally and externally, including communal areas, fencing, gardens and general grounds maintenance
• Managing your workload effectively to complete works safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Collaborating with colleagues, contractors and supervisors to help reduce void turnaround times
• Taking pride in delivering quality homes that new customers can move into with confidence
