Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to cover the Nottingham area for a well-established social housing contractor. The role focuses on repairs and maintenance within void and occupied properties, with responsibilities across plumbing, plastering, tiling, carpentry and decorating as needed.

You will work five days per week, travel between properties, complete electronic paperwork, and adhere to health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing repairs or property maintenance.
• Strong plumbing and multi-trade skills.
• Experience in plastering, tiling, carpentry or decorating is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality workmanship.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DBS may be required in the future.
• No formal trade qualifications required – practical experience is key.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties

• Undertaking additional trades including plastering, tiling, carpentry and decorating where skilled
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard

We're looking for experienced Multi-Trade Operatives with a strong background insocial housing repairs, property maintenance, refurbishment or reactive maintenance.

As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be:

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties
• Completing plumbing repairs, bathroom repairs and general multi-trade works
• Undertaking additional trades including plastering, tiling, carpentry and decorating where skilled
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard
• Working professionally within tenants' homes
• Managing your own workload and completing jobs efficiently
• Completing electronic paperwork and following health and safety procedures

We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in social housing repairs or property maintenance
• Strong plumbing and multi-trade skills
• Experience in plastering, tiling, carpentry or decorating is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality workmanship
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence
• DBS may be required in the future

In return, the Multi Trade Operative will receive:

• £170–£180 per day
• Weekly pay (CIS payments available)
• Fuel covered
• 5 days per week
• Long-term ongoing work
• Monday to Friday
• Immediate start available
• Regular workload with an established contractor

Location & Travel

The role coversNottingham and the surrounding areas. Candidates will be expected to travel between customer properties throughout the day.
