Niyaa People is recruiting for a permanent Multi-Trade Operative to work across kitchen, bathroom and void refurbishment projects in Abingdon and surrounding areas. The role suits an experienced tradesperson with solid carpentry, plumbing, tiling and decorating skills and offers consistent work for successful operatives.

You will complete multi-trade repairs, fit kitchens, and prepare void properties for occupation, with flexibility to move between workstreams as priorities shift.

Formación

• Must have strong experience across carpentry, plumbing, tiling and decorating.
• Experience across kitchens, bathrooms and void property programmes.
• Own van preferred; car considered; flexible across trades.

• Working safely and reliably, without undertaking regulated gas or electrical tasks.

Requirements

• Strong experience across carpentry, plumbing, tiling and decorating.
• Experience working across kitchen, bathroom and void property programmes.
• Full plastering and vinyl flooring skills would be advantageous, although candidates with patch-plastering experience may also be considered.
• A practical and reliable approach to working in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
• Examples, photographs or a portfolio of previous work where possible.
• Formal trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential where you have substantial, demonstrable on-the-job experience.
• Your own van is preferred due to parking restrictions and occasional material collections.
• A car may be considered if you can transport your tools and accept that parking may be further from some sites.
• Ability to work flexibly across different types of work at short notice.
• Ability to assess your competency honestly across each trade using a skills matrix.

• Materials delivered directly to site approximately 90% of the time.
• Parking permits can be provided for commercial vans in permit-controlled areas.

• Potential to transfer to a direct arrangement after 14 weeks through the agency.

Day rate

£200-£220 per day

Location & travel

The role is based across Abingdon and surrounding locations, with candidates ideally living within approximately 45 minutes of Abingdon to support reliable attendance.

Materials are delivered to site in most cases, although occasional collections from local suppliers may be required. A commercial van is preferred, particularly where permit-controlled parking applies.
