Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to cover Andover and surrounding areas. This is an initial 16-week temporary contract with the potential to become permanent, offering £23 per hour during the temp period and a £38,000 annual salary if converted to permanent status.

The role involves reactive maintenance, fencing, patios, brickwork and other general repairs in social housing, with a company van and fuel card provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi-Trade Operative or in property maintenance.
• Experience with brickwork, fencing, patios or related external works.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs in social housing properties.
• Repair and install fencing; complete patio works and external repairs.
• Carry out brickwork, blockwork and general repairs across trades.
• Ensure repairs are completed safely and to a good standard.

Join a well-established contractor working within social housing as a Multi-Trade Operative, covering Andover and the surrounding areas. This is an initial 16-week temporary contract, with the potential to become permanent.

I’d love to hear from experienced Multi-Trade Operatives who have a good range of property maintenance skills and are looking for consistent work with the opportunity for long-term employment.

The Multi-Trade Operative role is offering:

• £23 per hour during the temporary contract
• Opportunity to go permanent after 16 weeks
• £38,000 annual salary when permanent
• Company van and fuel card provided
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
• Immediate start preferred

As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will be:

• Carrying out reactive maintenance and repairs in social housing properties
• Repairing and installing fencing
• Completing patio works and external property repairs
• Undertaking brickwork and blockwork
• Carrying out general repairs using additional skills in trades such as carpentry, plastering or plumbing
• Ensuring repairs are completed safely and to a good standard

I’d love to speak to anyone who has:

• Previous experience as a Multi-Trade Operative or in property maintenance
• Experience with brickwork, blockwork, fencing or patios
• Basic skills across other trades, such as carpentry, plastering or plumbing
• Experience working within social housing
• A full UK driving licence
• A reliable, professional approach and the ability to work independently

Location & travel

The Multi-Trade Operative role will cover Andover and the surrounding areas. You’ll receive a company van and fuel card, with the chance to move into a permanent position following the initial 16-week period.
