Job description

Multi-Trade Operative Opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join our team. This role involves lone working, but you will be part of a wider team to collaborate with as needed. You will attend approximately 6-7 jobs per day, depending on workload, which may include plumbing, plastering, carpentry, and other maintenance repairs at empty void properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attending tenanted and void properties to carry out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties
  • Resolving problems or initiating solutions, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Maintaining and restocking van stock levels as needed
  • Providing clear, timely updates on work progress to customers
  • Participating in out-of-hours call-outs on a rota basis
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Qualified or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject such as carpentry, electrical, or plumbing (Level 3, Unvented - G3 Certificate, and Water Regulations (WRAS) for plumbing)
  • Original certification proof required at interview; copies and CSCS cards are not accepted
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Experience in diagnosing problems and implementing solutions
  • Proficiency with computerised systems, including PDA
  • Valid UK driving license for driving company vehicles

Salary: £36,095 per annum, rising to £37,994 after 12 months, subject to performance.
