Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group Limited is recruiting an experienced Multi Trade to join a local authority repairs and maintenance team in Waltham Forest, London. This permanent, full-time role involves plumbing and a range of multi-trade repairs across council properties.

You will diagnose and repair faults, carry out installations, and undertake related carpentry and maintenance tasks. A full UK driving licence is required; a company van and fuel card are provided to support a long-term, secure

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Trade in social housing or local authority.
• Strong plumbing repair and maintenance experience.
• Competent across general building trades.
• Relevant plumbing qualification or recognised trade experience.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations within residential properties.
• Carpentry
• Diagnose and repair plumbing faults efficiently and professionally.
• Undertake a range of associated multi-trade repairs, including tiling, patch plastering and other general maintenance tasks.
• Respond to reactive repair requests and complete works within agreed timescales.
• Carry out planned and void property maintenance when required.
• Work safely and professionally in occupied and vacant properties.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed using relevant systems.
• Liaise professionally with residents, tenants, colleagues and other contractors.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and local authority standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment and the company vehicle in a safe and serviceable condition.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade to join a local authority repairs and maintenance team on a permanent basis, working across properties throughout Waltham Forest.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of plumbing and multi-trade repairs within council properties, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant health, safety and quality requirements.
