Sanctuary Group in Ely, Cambridgeshire, is recruiting a Multi-Trade Operative for day-to-day repairs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and general maintenance. The role may involve lone working within a wider team to service properties.

The successful candidate will install kitchens, bathrooms, windows and fencing, maintain tools, and provide clear updates to customers. A full UK driving licence and relevant certificates are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in core carpentry/electrical subject area.
• Plumbing Level 3 and Unvented - G3 Certificate and WRAS compliance required.
• Full UK driving licence and knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
• Installation of new kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, windows, doors and fencing.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and restocked as needed.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns by resolving issues and informing customers.

Multi-Trade Operative - Day to Day

Ely - Cambridgeshire

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, within a team of 19 other members of staff. The role will involve lone working, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a wider team. The role primarily involves carrying out a range of day - to - day repairs, including leaking taps, fencing repairs, and kitchen uplifts. The successful candidate will be a forward - thinking individual with a broad skill set across multiple trades, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and general maintenance.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative - Day to Day will include:

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
• Instillation of new kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, windows, doors and fencing
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical), Plumbing Level 3, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
• Skills in some of the following disciplines - carpentry, plumbing
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
