VGC in Bracknell is seeking a proactive Multi Trade Operative to join our Empty Homes team. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and refurbishment tasks to prepare vacant properties for new tenants, and ensure work is completed to a high standard.

The role covers Ascot, Windsor, Reading, Slough and surrounding areas, requiring strong trades skills, a full UK driving licence, and a commitment to safety and customer service within a busy housing environment.

Multi Trade Operative (Empty Homes)

Salary: Up to £38,847.17 per annum + company van

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Bracknell

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Role

Empty Homes Team

The Empty Homes team is responsible for preparing vacant properties for new tenants, ensuring homes are safe, well maintained, and ready to be re-let as quickly as possible. Working closely with in-house trades teams, subcontractors, housing colleagues, and incoming residents, you'll play a vital role in transforming empty properties into welcoming homes.

We're looking for two experienced Multi Trade Operatives to join a busy Empty Homes team. You'll carry out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and refurbishment tasks to a high standard, helping to deliver an efficient and effective service across vacant housing stock.

The role covers Ascot, Windsor, Reading, Slough, and surrounding areas.

As part of a collaborative team, you'll undertake a variety of trade-related works, ensuring all repairs and installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with good building maintenance practices.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a Multi Trade or Property Maintenance role.
• City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in a relevant trade.
• Strong practical skills across a range of trades.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, motivated, and achievement-focused.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
