Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative to join the Operations Response team. The role involves reactive repairs to properties, from a leaking tap to installing UPVC doors/windows, flooring, or fencing. The team also undertakes external repairs including fencing and groundworks.

This role sits within Property Services, offering training as required, a company van, and a supportive environment in a not-for-profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (joinery, plumbing).
• Recent experience in a similar role within social housing.
• Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks.
• Additional skills in plumbing, joinery, carpentry and plastering.
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Role requires driving a company vehicle with a full UK licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract and service.
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and ensure clear daily records.
• Resolve problems or initiate resolution while keeping customers informed.
• Maintain van stock levels and restock as needed.
