Job summary

The Housing Network is seeking a competent multi-trade operative to join the supported housing team. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades across properties, focusing on safety, compliance, and high presentation standards.

You will use a tablet for reporting, liaise with residents and contractors, and may cover cleaning in empty properties while reporting safeguarding concerns when required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and IT skills to use an iPad or laptop and reporting apps.
• Trade skills across carpentry, plastering, tiling, joinery to complete maintenance tasks.
• Lock changing and door hanging are essential daily tasks.
• Practical knowledge of electrical basics and safe handling of gas/heating systems.

Responsibilities

• Daily use of reporting devices to log work and update systems.
• Carry out void property repairs to high standard per contract targets.
• Conduct regular accommodation inspections ensuring safety and compliance.
• Perform reactive maintenance within prescribed timescales.
• Carry out finishing trades such as joinery, plastering, tiling, painting.
