Job summary

Midland Heart is recruiting a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to maintain over 35,000 homes across the Midlands. You will diagnose and complete a broad range of repairs across occupied and empty properties, using your primary trade and additional skills to deliver high-quality workmanship.

You’ll work independently, manage a diverse workload, and ensure repairs are completed right first time while upholding safety standards and excellent tenant service.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in your primary trade and practical skills across one or more additional trades.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills when working in tenants' homes.
• Commitment to delivering quality workmanship and getting repairs right first time.
• Understanding of site safety and safe working practices.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete a broad range of repairs and special projects in occupied and empty homes.
• Manage workload and deliver a high standard of workmanship on time.
• Take ownership of tasks and ensure repairs are right first time wherever possible.
• Operate across carpentry, plumbing, plastering and decorating as needed.
