Job summary

Protocol is seeking a Construction Multi-Skills Tutor to deliver vocational training at HMYOI Werrington, Staffordshire. This role supports learners in developing essential construction skills within a custodial education setting.

You will work with small groups, planning engaging lessons and guiding learners toward vocational qualifications while upholding safety standards and industry benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Level 3 vocational qualification in a construction trade.
• Significant industry experience in construction.
• Experience delivering vocational training, coaching, mentoring or workplace instruction.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for helping others develop new skills.
• Teaching or assessing qualification desirable but not essential.

The Role

Working with small groups of learners, you will deliver high-quality construction training, helping individuals develop practical skills, industry knowledge and workplace behaviours.

You will create an engaging learning environment that motivates and inspires learners, many of whom may have had limited previous educational experiences.

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you should have:

• A Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant construction trade.
• Significant industry experience within construction.
• Experience delivering vocational training, coaching, mentoring or workplace instruction.
• The ability to engage and motivate learners from a variety of backgrounds.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for helping others develop new skills and progress.

A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable but not essential.

If you do not currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, support can be provided to achieve the appropriate qualification during your probationary period.
