Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Operative to join the Major Works team in Norwich. This hands-on role covers plastering and supporting trades across occupied and void social housing properties, delivering high-quality refurbishments within project timelines.

You will perform plastering, damp and mould works, and other trades as needed, ensuring safety and quality. A full UK driving licence and own hand tools are required, with a focus on customer service in residents’ homes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastering as part of refurbishment or major works.
• Experience in social housing, property maintenance, or major works environments.
• Experience performing damp and mould remedial works within refurbishment programmes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned works and refurbishment activities across social housing properties as part of major works programmes.
• Undertake damp and mould remedial works as part of wider refurbishment and upgrade projects.
• Complete plastering works including patch plastering, skimming, and full room re-skims where required.
• Repair and renew walls and ceilings to prepare surfaces for decoration.
• Deliver high-quality finishes and handover ready within project timelines.
• Undertake multi-skilled tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and finishing works.
