UPP is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician specialising in plumbing and mechanical boiler and heating repairs for our Leeds campus. This permanent full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with overtime potential and a salary of £38,499 per annum.
You will join the on-site maintenance team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, ensure safe working practices, and support across trades to keep buildings safe and comfortable for residents.
_ ***Please note that you must hold a domestic gas qualification and have experience of working on these systems to apply for this role alongside a current UK manual driving licence*** _

We have an opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician specialising in plumbing and mechanical boiler and heating repairs to work as part of ourLeedsteam,providing bothplanned and responsive maintenanceexpertise.
This is a permanent full timeposition working 37.5hours,5-days per week. You will be part of the maintenance team that covers shift patterns between9amto5pmMondaytoFriday.The salary is £38499.00per annum plus overtime.
Carry outplanned andreactive maintenance in accordance with theService Level Agreement and provide front line response for all plumbing and mechanical work
Undertakeall workin a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commencesand report any hazardsor safety issuesto the relevant Manager
Carry out PPM in accordance with the schedule & liaise with specialist sub-contractors
Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory compliance
Assist with statutory testing including fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher, fire blanket and fire detector checks, water temperature monitoring, shower head cleaning and emergency lighting checks
Take the lead in building stock management (ordering, storage, distribution) ensuring appropriate parts are held and available to meet SLA timescales for repair
Assist team colleagues in other trades as and when required including cross-trade skills sharing
to already bea skilled plumberwithin a maintenance environmentwith a range of repair workexperience. You will alsohavegreat communication and organisation skills, always delivering work to a high standard.
Alongside this,you willhave a good understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of building services and systems as well as good understanding of health and safety, with the ability to always work in a safe manner.
You will also be prepared to work (with notice) additional hours when the needed, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekendsevery year.
