Job summary

UPP in Leeds is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician specialised in plumbing and mechanical repairs to join our campus team. The role covers both planned and responsive maintenance to ensure a safe and thriving environment for students.

The position is permanent full time (37.5 hours, 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday) with overtime. A domestic gas qualification and a UK driving licence are essential, with a competitive salary of £38,499 per year plus overtime.

Qualifications

• Must hold a domestic gas qualification and have experience on these systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills to support the maintenance team.
• Experience as a skilled plumber in a maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance for plumbing and mechanical work.
• Record breakdowns and maintenance in records; support statutory compliance.
• Undertake PPM in line with schedule; liaise with sub-contractors as needed.
• Ensure safe working practices and manage health and safety issues on site.
• Assist with statutory testing including fire safety checks and emergency lighting checks.
• Lead stock management for building fabric parts to meet SLA timescales.
