Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Technician (Electrical Bias) in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will perform PPМ, servicing, testing and fault diagnosis of electrical systems within a complex healthcare environment, ensuring safe operation and high-quality maintenance services.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship with City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in electrical engineering.
• IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) with City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned preventive maintenance (PPM), servicing, testing, fault diagnosis, repair, and calibration of electrical and building services plant and equipment.
• Carry out emergency lighting testing to BS EN 5266, fixed wire testing to BS 7671, and lightning protection testing to BS EN 62305, rectifying faults as required.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdown requests and carry out electrical isolations for specialist contractors.
• Participate in weekly fire alarm testing and support wider Estates Maintenance team activities through flexible, multi-trade working.
• Work safely and in full compliance with Trust and departmental Health & Safety procedures, maintaining accurate estates records, asset data, and plant history.

Required Qualifications
