We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic tradespeople to join our growing engineering team. As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will provide mobile delivery of facilities support services across various client sites. This role involves a variety of general maintenance and business support tasks. You will report to a Regional Operations Supervisor and may be asked to assist mobile engineers in the delivery of planned, reactive, and ad hoc maintenance activities.

While core working hours are 08:00 to 17:00 (with flexibility based on individual circumstances), some degree of flexibility will be required. Appropriate training and up-skilling will be provided as necessary to ensure competence in performing the responsibilities listed below.

Main duties include weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks, such as fire alarm testing, water temperature checks, flushing of little-used outlets, and emergency lighting tests. Additional tasks include taking monthly utilities meter readings, responding to reactive repairs, re-lamping defective lighting, performing minor building fabric repairs, decorating, and plumbing.

Occasionally, the role may involve general office and toilet cleaning, replenishment of consumables, external landscaping support, and other janitorial duties—primarily at remote sites. You may also be required to support with porterage duties like furniture moves and changes. All work must be documented accurately and completed in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Technicians are expected to complete required documentation (including RAMS) and adhere to relevant permits. You may be part of a standby rota for emergency call-outs outside normal working hours, and flexibility to cover absences during holidays or sickness is important. The role may also require assisting other trades within the team, following appropriate training, and completing tasks outside your core skill set.

Excellent customer service is a key part of this role. Technicians must ensure building occupants are informed of work progress in a timely manner and proactively report any maintenance or health and safety issues observed during site walks.

We are looking for individuals with experience in building maintenance, handyperson, or janitorial roles, who have a solid understanding of health and safety in a building environment. Candidates should be proactive, confident, driven, and focused on completing tasks correctly and efficiently. A willingness to undertake further training and the ability to create and follow work schedules and risk assessments is essential.

Strong customer service skills, knowledge of building statutory compliance, and experience in a customer-focused environment are required. Candidates must be able to accurately record work on worksheets and computer systems, communicate effectively, and work well as part of a team. A full UK driver's license is required.
