Job summary

Mears Group PLC is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team in Kent/Medway. The role involves carrying out a variety of property maintenance tasks across social housing properties, including carpentry, painting, plastering, tiling and minor plumbing, with a focus on high-quality repairs.

We offer a full time permanent position, 42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday to Friday), with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, plus a company van and fuel card.

Qualifications

• Experience across carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Comfortable working in occupied homes and in residents' properties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs in tenanted social housing.
• Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves and internal doors.
• Install and adjust kitchen units and cupboards.
• Identify and fix minor plumbing issues.
• Patch plastering and make good damaged walls or ceilings.
• Paint and decorate to a professional finish.
• Record job details using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Maintain tools and company vehicle in good order.
• Manage daily workload to meet service targets.
