Job summary

Mears Group PLC in London is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to perform a range of domestic repairs across void properties. You will work 42.5 hours weekly (Mon-Fri 8-5) and earn up to £40,000 per year with a company van and fuel card.

Role involves carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating, brickwork and other trade tasks in occupied homes, delivering high-quality outcomes with customer care and safety in mind.

Qualifications

• Proven domestic repairs across multiple trades.
• Experience in social housing repairs is a plus.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work in residents' homes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across tenanted social housing properties
• Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves, and internal doors
• Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops, and cupboards
• Repair or replace doors, handles, locks, hinges
• Fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks and drips
• Patch plastering and make good damaged walls/ceilings
• Tile walls and floors, including grouting and sealing
• Paint and decorate to professional finish post repair
• Record job details and materials used using handheld devices
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle; manage workload to targets
