Job summary

Lancer Scott is hiring a Multi-Skilled Plumber and Fabric Engineer to join its core contracts team in the Somerset area. The role involves planned, reactive and remedial repairs, ensuring works meet timescales, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.

Applicants should hold an NVQ L2/3 in Plumbing, have at least 3 years’ building maintenance experience, and be proficient with tablets/PDAs for job updates. A valid UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ L2 or L3 in Plumbing required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in building maintenance, especially reactive/remedial work.
• Knowledge of building systems with emphasis on carpentry within reactive tasks.
• Good IT skills; comfortable updating job information on a tablet.
• Current Full UK Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned, reactive and remedial repairs as directed by the Helpdesk across Somerset area.
• Carry out works within agreed timescales and to high standards, complying with regulations and contract specs.
• Record procedures and maintenance logs; implement control measures to minimise risks.
• Utilise PDAs or tablets to complete works.
• Liaise with Helpdesk for efficient response, solo or in a team.
• Observe health and safety at all times and perform task risk assessments.
• Provide call-out response across all contracts.
