Job summary

Lancer Scott is seeking a Multi-Skilled Plumber and Fabric Engineer to join their Cardiff-based team. The role covers planned, reactive and remedial plumbing tasks within contractual standards and safety regulations.

Ideally you hold NVQ L2/L3 in Plumbing, with at least three years in building maintenance, and you will use tablets to update job information and liaise with the Helpdesk for prompt responses.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification: NVQ L2 or L3 in Plumbing.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in building maintenance, reactive/remedial work.
• Good knowledge of building systems related to reactive tasks, carpentry emphasis.
• Good IT skills; comfortable using tablets to update job information.
• Current Full UK Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, reactive and remedial plumbing repairs to high standards.
• Report and record maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
• Use PDAs/electronic devices to complete works.
• Coordinate with Helpdesk for efficient response, solo or in a team.
• Maintain health and safety with task risk assessments for each job.
• Provide call-out response across contracts.

What will my core responsibilities be?

Working as part of our Core Contracts Team you will play a key role in the completion of planned, reactive and remedial repairs as directed by the Helpdesk, covering the Cardiff area.

• Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and contract specifications.
• Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
• Utilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.
• Liaise closely with our Helpdesk to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.
• Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.
• Provide a call out response across all contracts

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

• A relevant qualification, ideally NVQ L2 or L3 in Plumbing
• Hold a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a building maintenance role, particularly in relation to reactive and remedial maintenance
• Demonstrate a general knowledge of building systems in relation to reactive tasks with an emphasis on carpentry work
• Good IT skills, comfortable using a Tablet to update job information
• Current Full UK Driver’s License
