Job summary

McCarthy Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Operator for our client site in Skemersdale. The role is permanent, 47.5 hours per week, at an hourly rate of £16.00–£17.00 depending on experience.

This position offers stable, long-term work within a growing quarry and waste operations team. You will operate Dozers and Excavators, manage stockpiles, assist production targets, and uphold high safety standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Support wider site operations as required.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operating Dozers and Excavators safely and efficiently
• Managing stockpiles and material movement across site
• Supporting daily production targets and operational activities
• Carrying out daily machine inspections and reporting defects
• Maintaining high Health & Safety standards at all times
• Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
• Supporting wider site operations where required

Depending on site requirements, you may also operate:

• Dumpers
• Rollers

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experienced operators with proven Dozer and Excavator experience
• Relevant plant tickets and certifications
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Reliable, hardworking and professional attitude
• Team players who can also work independently when needed

Desirable Experience:

• 360 excavator
• Dumper and/or Roller operation
• Experience within quarry, waste, recycling, aggregates or similar heavy industrial environments
