Job summary

Mears Group in Exeter is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Operative to deliver repairs and maintenance across social housing properties. You will work across occupied homes, covering carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and more, ensuring safe, functional and well cared-for residences.

This hands-on role requires independence, strong fault-finding, excellent customer service and the ability to manage a varied workload.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in domestic repairs across multiple trades.
• Experience completing full bathroom refurbishments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day planned projects across social housing properties.
• Complete full bathroom refurbishments.
• Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves and internal doors.
• Install and adjust bathroom units, worktops and full refits.
• Record job details and materials used using handheld devices.
• Work in occupied properties with sensitivity to residents' needs.
• Maintain tools and company vehicle in good working order.
• Manage daily workload to meet service targets.
