MSV Housing is seeking a hands-on Multi Skilled Operative to perform carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and decorating across domestic and commercial properties. You will work under the Repairs Team Leader, delivering high-quality repairs with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
The role requires a City & Guilds Craft qualification or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent experience), a full UK driving licence, and confidence using digital systems to record work activity.

Reporting to the Repairs Team Leader, you'll deliver a wide range of repairs and maintenance services, including carpentry, minor plumbing, plastering, tiling, and painting and decorating.
We're looking for a skilled, customer-focused professional, or an enthusiastic individual with strong maintenance and repair experience, who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You'll be a proactive team player with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of managing a varied workload independently while maintaining high standards of health and safety and customer service. A recognised trade qualification (or equivalent experience), a full UK driving licence, and confidence using digital systems are essential.
Install,repairandmaintaina wide range of building components and fixtures, including carpentry, doors, windows, kitchens, fencing, roofing, and associated property repairs
Carry out multi-skilled maintenance works including minor plumbing, plastering, tiling, brickwork,decoratingand other general repairs to domestic and commercial properties
Deliver high-quality work safely, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, asbestos regulations, riskassessmentsand company policies
Provide excellent customer service by liaising professionally with residents, completing work within agreed timescales and budgets, and ensuring properties are left clean,safeand tidy
Manage materials,equipmentand company vehicles responsibly,maintainaccuraterecords, support apprentices whererequired, andparticipatein the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
A City & Guilds Craft qualification or NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (or significant equivalent practical experience)
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across theNorth West
Experience delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance work within agreed timescales
Experience working collaboratively as part of a busy, multi-disciplinary team
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding service
Confidence using digital devices and systems to record work activities and manage jobs
A flexible,reliableand self-motivated approach, with a commitment to safety, professionalism and MSV's values.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the services we deliver to our customers. You'll work within the communities we serve, using your strong communication skills, customer focus, and ability to understand and respond to a wide range of customer needs with empathy. Working both independently and as part of a team, you'll take a flexible approach while operating with minimal supervision.
