Tarmac Trading Limited is hiring a Multi Skilled Operative for their Kevin Asphalt Plant in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves operating mobile plant and site equipment, supporting production targets, and conducting inspections to ensure safety and quality.

You’ll join a collaborative team focused on high standards and customer service. The position requires flexibility for day/night shifts and varying start times.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused and reliable.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.
• Flexible and willing to learn new skills.
• Confident communicating with colleagues and supervisors.
• IT literate.
• In possession of a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience within quarrying, asphalt, manufacturing, construction or a similar industrial environment would be beneficial.
• A Shovel Licence is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.

Responsibilities

Whether you already have industry experience or are looking to develop a career in a hands-on operational role, we'd love to hear from you.The site is conveniently located for candidates living in Stoke-on-Trent, Cheadle, Leek, Uttoxeter, Ashbourne, Rocester, Alton, Blythe Bridge, Biddulph, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Longton, Stone and the surrounding areas.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating mobile plant and site equipment
• Supporting daily production targets
• Carrying out plant inspections and reporting defects
• Assisting with maintenance activities
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards
• Following Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
• Working as part of a collaborative team to deliver excellent customer service

As our business operates to meet customer demand, working hours can vary from day to day. You'll need to be flexible, as this role may involve a mixture of day and night working, along with occasional early morning start times.
