Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative with a strong plumbing and carpentry bias to join our social housing repairs and maintenance team. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity across occupied and void properties, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to tenants.

You will carry out responsive and planned maintenance, focusing on plumbing and carpentry, with additional multi-trade works.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2, apprenticeship, or equivalent trade experience across multiple trades.
• Strong experience in plumbing and carpentry maintenance works.
• Experience in property maintenance, repairs, or social housing.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous social housing experience.
• Experience working alongside contractors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties.
• Complete plumbing and carpentry repairs to a high standard.
• Undertake additional multi-trade works including tiling, patch plastering, painting, decorating and general property maintenance.
• Support void refurbishment and planned maintenance programmes.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain accurate records using handheld devices and mobile technology.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with tenants.

This is an ongoing temporary opportunity working across occupied and void properties, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to tenants.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of responsive repairs, void and planned maintenance, ensuring homes are maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires a flexible, multi-skilled approach with plumbing and carpentry as your core trades.

Competitive hourly rate of £21.50 - £23.50 per hour.
