Mears Group plc is seeking an experienced tradesperson to carry out responsive repairs across tenanted social housing. Based in Durham, you will work on domestic fixes, install and adjust kitchen units, doors and tiling, and ensure high standards with safety in mind.
You will need a full UK driving licence, the ability to work independently, and strong fault-finding skills, while delivering excellent customer service in residents' homes.
Contract: Full Time Permanent
Salary up to £44,232.30 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card
42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)
Location: Durham
Based in Durham and Essex, the North Task Team (Based in Durham) along with our South Team (Based in Essex) Our team helps mobilise, demobilise and support contracts throughout the whole of Mears, we provide support for contracts that are understaffed, have works in progress that need reducing. We mainly carry out repairs on Day to Day/Response works, but we are occasionally used for Voids and Planned also. This means we can work on any contract within Mears who needs assistance with staying away/travelling to assist on contracts.
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
