Sterling Services is seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Operatives to join a growing property repairs and maintenance team. The role focuses on plastering with additional multi-trade skills across residential properties, including joinery, painting, and kitchen installations, with a view to long-term career progression.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on plastering experience, multi-skilled capability, and the ability to work independently on projects from start to finish.
Sterling Services is looking for experienced, reliable and motivated Multi-Skilled Operatives to join its growing property repairs and maintenance team.
We are particularly interested in plasterers who have additional multi-trade skills, allowing them to undertake a variety of repairs and maintenance works across residential properties. Candidates with strong joinery skills alongside plastering experience would be especially welcome.
The work is varied, with no two days necessarily being the same. You could be completing anything from small repairs and redecoration through to more extensive refurbishment projects, including kitchens, bathrooms and damp-proofing works.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing team, showcase your existing skills, learn additional trades and potentially build a long-term career within the business.
Following permanent employment, the package is expected to include:
Relevant trade qualifications are welcome but are not essential. Practical experience, transferable skills and the ability to demonstrate your trade competence are what matter most.
Candidates with a strong plastering background and good all-round maintenance skills are particularly encouraged to apply.
The salary will reflect your existing skills, experience and ability to work independently.
The starting salary is expected to be between £30,000 and £35,000 per annum, depending on the level of multi-trade experience you can demonstrate.
There is also an opportunity to increase your earnings as your skills develop. Operatives who demonstrate the ability to undertake their own projects consistently, work independently and deliver a high standard of work across their skill set may be considered for progression towards the higher salary level.
Sterling Services is committed to building a strong team and developing its people from within. For the right individuals, there may be future opportunities to progress into more senior or supervisory roles as the business grows. Progression will depend on performance, experience, business requirements and readiness for the role.
Candidates should have their own core trade tools and be able to carry out work within their principal trade.
Where specialist tools are required for additional tasks outside your main trade, these may be provided by the company where appropriate. Company uniform and relevant personal protective equipment will also be provided.
