Job summary

Multi Skilled Operative (Fencing) for HS2 fencing programme. Coventry and Birmingham area with long-term work and full-time role on a major construction project. You will install a wide range of fencing systems, set out lines, and carry out post and rail, mesh, palisade, stock, and boundary fencing.

Responsibilities

• Install mesh, palisade, stock and post & rail fencing.
• Set out fencing lines and positions.
• Concreted posts and fixings.
• Assist in mesh and wire fencing components fixing.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Follow site health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Work as part of a site team to deliver fencing objectives.

Multi Skilled Operative (Fencing) HS2 Project

Location: Coventry and Birmingham
Duration: Long-Term Project (Approx. 3 Years)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are currently seeking experienced Multi Skilled Operatives to join a major fencing programme on HS2. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on one of the UK's largest construction projects, with approximately three years of continuous work available.

The successful candidates will be involved in the installation of a wide range of fencing systems, working as part of a productive and safety-conscious site team to deliver high-quality fencing works across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of various fencing systems, including:
  • Mesh fencing
  • Palisade fencing
  • Stock fencing
  • Post and rail fencing
  • Security and boundary fencing
  • Ecology fencing
• Setting out fencing lines and positions
• Post installation and concreting works
• Mesh, wire and fencing component fixing
• Safe operation of hand and power tools
• Working to programme deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Following site health, safety and environmental procedures at all times
• Working effectively as part of a site team to deliver project objectives

Essential Requirements

• Valid CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
• Previous experience installing:
  • Security fencing
  • Ecology fencing
  • Boundary fencing
• Proven experience with mesh, palisade, stock and post & rail fencing systems
• Ability to work effectively within a productive site team
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites
