Job summary

Gva Trees is looking for a Fencing Operative to install and maintain various fencing systems across highways and environmental sites in Halifax. The role requires experience in safely installing fences, including boundary and security fencing, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Immediate start is available with a focus on both day and night shift patterns based on the project requirements.

A Fencing Operative installs and maintains a wide range of fencing systems across highways, environmental sites, and infrastructure projects. This includes security fencing, boundary fencing, and temporary site fencing used to support construction, landscaping, and ecological management projects.

Fencing Operatives help deliver safe and secure boundaries that support environmental protection, infrastructure safety, and land management initiatives.

• Install fencing systems including posts, rails, mesh, and gates
• Carry out highway boundary fencing and environmental protection fencing
• Assist with ground preparation and minor civils work
• Safely use fencing tools and installation equipment
• Work from drawings, specifications, or supervisor instructions
• Ensure work meets safety and quality standards
