Job summary

CSC Recruitment Ltd is recruiting experienced Multi-Trade Operatives to carry out repairs and maintenance across domestic properties in the Midlands, Staffordshire and South Cheshire. The role covers carpentry, joinery, painting, plastering, basic plumbing and tiling where possible, with a focus on high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, candidates should have a strong carpentry background, own tools, and a full UK driving licence.

Multi-Trade Operative

Location: Birmingham & Surrounding Areas

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established property maintenance contractor, who have over 25 years' experience and an excellent reputation within the industry.

Due to continued demand, they are looking to recruit experienced Multi-Trade Operatives to carry out repairs and maintenance across domestic properties throughout the Midlands, Staffordshire and South Cheshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship and are passionate about delivering a high-quality service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out a variety of maintenance and repair works within occupied domestic properties.
• Completing carpentry repairs and general joinery.
• Painting and decorating.
• Plaster patching and making good.
• Carrying out basic plumbing repairs.
• Ceramic tiling (advantageous but not essential).
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
• Maintaining a clean and professional working environment.
• Communicating professionally with residents and customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Multi-Trade Operative or in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong carpentry/joinery background.
• Competent in painting, plastering repairs and basic plumbing.
• Tiling experience would be advantageous.
• Relevant trade qualifications, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry, Joinery or a related trade would be beneficial.
• CSCS card advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• Own tools and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.

Working Hours & Location

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
• Candidates must be available for regular ongoing work.
• Ideally based in Birmingham, Walsall, Rugeley, Lichfield or Stafford.
• Must be able to arrive on site for 8:00am and remain until 4:00pm, unless otherwise instructed.
