Job summary

Mitie is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Mobile Engineer - Electrical Bias to deliver reactive and proactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical disciplines for a key client. This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some flexibility, based at Bury St Edmunds.

You will read technical drawings, carry out installations when required, and ensure work is completed safely and to high standards in line with site requirements. NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition are essential.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition and NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Building Statutory Compliance and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with priorities management.

Responsibilities

• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines, delivering reactive and proactive maintenance.
• Undertake work within your main qualification and skillset, ensuring tasks are completed safely and within timescales.
• Carry out modifications and installations when required, and maintain, repair and calibrate plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
• Ensure all KPIs are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers.
• Complete paperwork and produce reports accurately and promptly, adhering to company policies.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering both electrical and mechanical disciplines, delivering reactive and proactive maintenance in line with site requirements.
• Undertake work within your main qualification and skillset, ensuring tasks are completed safely and within agreed timescales.
• Carry out modifications and installations when required, and maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
• Ensure all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required.
• Complete all required paperwork and produce reports accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard in line with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 18th Edition and NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent, with appropriate up-to-date training.
• Good knowledge of Building Statutory Compliance and responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
