Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Mobile Engineer - Multi-Tech in Bury St Edmunds to undertake building fabric maintenance, including patch repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating. The role requires hands-on capability and a willingness to join the on-call rota.

Applicants should have relevant qualifications (e.g., C&G or equivalent) and experience in facilities maintenance, with knowledge of health and safety and safe working practices. On-site work with some flexibility in hours.

• Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and Safe Systems of Working.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building fabric activities such as patch repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting and decorating.
• Perform manual tasks including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces; participate in on-call rota.
• Support minor electrical/mechanical tasks as needed.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and Safe Systems of Working.
• Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, log inspections and reports.

ROLE: Mobile Engineer - Multi-Tech
HOURS: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, some flexibility
LOCATION: Bury St Edmunds (Mobile)

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for undertaking all building fabric activities such as patch repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting and decorating.
• Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces, as well as a willingness to participate in the on-call rota.
• Should have minor electrical/mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and Safe Systems of Working.
• You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections, reports and remedial work.
